genuinely trouble themselves to obtain. Yet, for the sake of this incense, we truly waited for that very spring snow.
Some merchants might claim that purified water makes little difference. But this single ingredient—the snowwater—reveals everything. It shows that our selection of materials and our entire refining process operate on an entirely different level from others. This masterful blend was meticulously perfected over seven years by Su Shi, the great poet and master perfumer. It captures a moment of perfect alignment of timing, location, and human effort — all embodied in that precious handful of snow. It’s not that others wouldn’t want to recreate it, but the raw materials are far too rare and precious.
We gathered only the purest snow resting atop the hearts of plum blossoms. Once melted, it was dripped into a carefully prepared blend of aromatic ingredients, then sealed deep within a fragrance cellar for a full hundred days. Only through this sacred process could such an exquisite incense be born.
Legend has it that Su Shi devoted seven years to perfecting this incense formula.One spring day, as snow began to fall, he gazed at the white plum blossoms dusted with fresh snow and suddenly understood—this snow was the celestial inspiration he had been waiting for.
When he sent his beloved concubine to gather the snow, he gave specific instructions: “Collect it with reverence for nature and a heart full of love for the plum blossoms. Clear your mind of distractions, and use a soft brush to gently sweep the snow—do not harm a single petal.”
In the bowl, some of the snow had already melted, and the snowwater, tinged with pollen, glistened with a subtle, crystalline sheen. When the incense was finally completed, its lingering fragrance was like ten thousand plum trees blooming at once, saturating the air with their ethereal perfume.

"Spring Message in the Snow" is not made only with plum-blossom snow water. It also contains ingredients like clove, agarwood, sandalwood, and borneol.
