Imperial Medicinal Incense Series:"Blossom Dreams"This was once the exclusive incense usedby the consorts of the Qing Dynasty's imperial harem.Light one stickbefore your afternoon rest, and you'll still feel refreshed and clear headedthroughout the remainder of the day. What sets it apart lies in three keyaspects:

    1. Authentic craftsmanship from the Qing Dynasty, handed down through generations and personally crafted by the 12th-generation inheritor of the imperial incense-making tradition.

    2. Imperial formula and techniques: The production of this incense takes four years to complete. The complexity of its preparation methods is truly astounding.

Based on secret recipes and processing techniques from the Qing court, this once strictly royal incense can now be enjoyed by all, thanks to modern production capabilities.

    3. Exceptionally rare medicinal ingredients sourced from the vast grasslands of Mongolia.

Grown in pure, wild environments, these raw materials absorb the essence of the sun and moon throughout their growth, resulting in purely natural, substances.

Don’t doubt it — this is truly incense of imperial lineage!

    What makes imperial-grade incense so
exceptional? Its excellence doesn’t stem from some mysterious, untold power, but rather from the precise blend of formula, ingredients, and preparation techniques — none of which can be compromised. In the rigid hierarchy of ancient times, imperial-grade products undoubtedly represented the pinnacle of achievement in their field.

Born in the vast grasslands, perfected
    deep within the Qing Palace.

When I traveled to the borderlands of China and roamed the expansive grasslands, I developed a deep fascination with the unique incense sticks found there. By chance, I met a direct disciple of a royal incense maker — and learned from him that some of these incenses take a full four years to produce. The level of dedication behind them is truly astounding!

The Story Begins with the IncenseMaker's Entry into the Palace.

In the 14th year of the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty, a renowned incense artisan was dispatched by the Ministry of Tributary Affairs to the ancestral home of Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang to serve
Princess Duanmin of the Gulun rank. The princess, known for her willful and imperious nature, enjoyed the highest honors bestowed by both Manchu and
Mongolian traditions. Yet, it was the incense crafted by this master artisan
that won over the discerning princess — and which she used for decades thereafter.

A Scent Designedfor Imperial Consorts,This imperial incense was specially created by the masterto soothe the melancholy and worries of the women in the inner court.

    Using carefully selected aromatic herbs
known for their calming and sedative properties, he designed an "aromatic
solace" — a fragrant remedy for the palace women troubled by stress, anxiety, and sleeplessness.

Relevant Even Today,Modern individuals face similar struggles: lying awake at night, unable to fall asleep, or waking frequently from unsettling dreams.

A restless mind is the root cause of
both difficulty falling asleep and poor sleep quality.

It is precisely the tranquilizing effect
of this incense that makes it so invaluable today.

    • 49 premium ingredients sourced from thepristine medicinal herbs of the Mongolian grasslands.

Traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes "authentic origins" (道地), and Mongolian medicine is no exception. Medicinal herbs grow best in their native habitats. As the saying goes, "Oranges grown south of the
Huai River are oranges; those north become trifoliate oranges." The vast, sparsely populated Mongolian plains nurture the finest herbs. These wild-grown ingredients, shaped by heaven and earth, embody the dedication befitting imperial-grade standards.

    • How complex is our unique incense-makingmethod in pursuing harmony of time, terrain, and human skill?

It employs a royal technique known as
      "Dense Jumping" (密布跳), involving ten
processing steps: baking, frying, smoking, boiling, soaking, simmering, fermenting, rinsing, feeding, and hanging.

    • While some incenses may involve moresteps, few are willing to meticulously align with the perfect naturalconditions!

Seven days before the summer solstice,
at noon, all spices are mixed and placed in an altar at the southern slope to absorb energy. Seven days after the summer solstice, at noon, they are moved outdoors, sun-dried for two hours, and then air-dried in a ventilated area. Red dates, red beans, and arnebia are simmered together. The prepared incense materials are then blended with mugwort gold velvet, saffron, nutmeg, and others – only then is one stick of "Red Shell Incense" (红蓉蔻) completed!

    • The preparation of raw materials isequally meticulous.

Some materials require incredibly complex pre-processing; others may need to be aged for three years before use.
When all ingredients are mixed, selecting the right time and place – choosing "auspicious timing" – is crucial. Just as one works at sunrise and rests at sunset, everything has its season, including medicinal herbs.
